Introduction

Hello!

I’m MAMORI, one of the trainers at Gran Gym. ❣️

Welcome to Vol.3 of our Gran Gym Trainer Spotlight series!

Today I’d like to share a little about my daily routine, eating habits, the lifestyle choices I make to stay in shape, and my coaching philosophy.

If you’re considering joining a men’s personal training gym, you may be wondering, “What kind of trainer will I work with?” or “Is it okay if I’m completely new to exercise?”

I hope this article helps you get to know me a little better and gives you an idea of what training at Gran Gym is like. ✨

About Trainer MAMORI

As a personal trainer, I support my clients in achieving their fitness goals while continuing to challenge myself through regular training.

Personally, I’ve experienced how exercise can change not only your body but also your mindset and the way you approach everyday life.

When your body changes, it’s not just your appearance that improves—it changes the way you see yourself.

You start thinking things like:

“Maybe I’m getting a little leaner.”

“I feel more confident than I used to.”

“I think I can do my best again today.”

These small victories build over time and gradually make everyday life feel more positive.

That’s why I want every client to experience not only the excitement of transforming their body, but also the confidence that naturally comes with it.

My Morning Routine

Lately, my mornings are pretty simple.

As soon as I wake up, I brush my teeth, grab a cup of coffee, and check my phone. 🪥☕️📱

Nothing particularly special!

But I do believe the morning sets the tone for the rest of the day.

Two things I try to stick to are:

  • Not going back to sleep after waking up
  • Keeping my wake-up time fairly consistent, even on my days off ⏰

Sleeping in too much on weekends can easily throw off your daily rhythm.

Of course, I enjoy relaxing when I can, but I try not to let my schedule change too drastically.

Rather than following a perfect morning routine, I simply focus on creating a start to the day that makes me feel good.

What I Usually Eat

For breakfast, I usually eat whatever I’m craving that morning.

Sometimes that means having a sweet coffee or even a McDonald’s breakfast muffin. ❣️

I like starting my day with something that genuinely makes me happy. 🥰

Trying to eat perfectly every single day can make nutrition feel stressful.

That’s why I think enjoying breakfast is just as important as eating something nutritious.

For lunch and dinner, however, I try to be a little more intentional.

Lunch is usually something light but high in protein.

If I’m grabbing food from a convenience store, I often choose a sandwich from 7-Eleven. 🥪

Even on busy days, I believe eating something is much better than skipping meals altogether.

For me, sustainable nutrition is much more important than trying to be perfect.

Dinner usually consists of meat such as chicken, pork, or beef, or fish like salmon or mackerel, together with miso soup and plenty of vegetables. ❣️

Having enough protein and vegetables at dinner helps me feel satisfied while keeping my meals balanced.

That said…

When I go out to eat, I enjoy whatever I want. 🥹

Because I stay consistent most of the time, I don’t feel guilty about enjoying special meals.

Instead of constantly restricting myself, I believe in finding a healthy balance between enjoying life and maintaining healthy habits.

How I Maintain My Physique

The biggest thing I focus on is not trying to change too much too quickly. 💪

Many people want dramatic results in a short period of time.

Having goals is important, but pushing yourself too hard often leads to burnout or rebound.

That’s why I focus on building habits I can maintain over the long term.

I also try not to obsess over the number on the scale. ❣️

Weight is only one measurement.

Changes in appearance, posture, energy levels, and confidence are just as meaningful.

Sometimes your weight barely changes, but your posture improves, your body shape changes, and you feel healthier.

The way your clothes fit and the confidence you feel when you look in the mirror are just as valuable as any number.

A Message to My Male Clients

One thing I’d love every male client to know is that strength training isn’t only about changing your appearance.

Of course, building muscle and becoming leaner improves the way you look.

But it also builds confidence and improves your overall quality of life.

Regular exercise helps clear your mind, reduce stress, and makes everyday problems feel a little more manageable.

You don’t have to be perfect from the beginning.

Whether you’re completely new to training or have never been inside a gym before, I’d love for you to enjoy the process of discovering what your body is capable of.

My Coaching Philosophy at Gran Gym

At Gran Gym, we don’t believe training should simply be hard.

We focus on helping clients understand proper form and body mechanics so every exercise is effective. ✨

When people train on their own, it’s common to work hard without actually targeting the intended muscles, or to unknowingly develop poor movement patterns.

If you’re going to invest your time in training, it’s important to make every workout count.

Every client has different strengths, weaknesses, and physical conditions.

That’s why I tailor every session to the individual, helping clients progress safely and steadily at their own pace.

Rather than creating workouts that are simply exhausting, I want my clients to experience what it feels like to train with proper technique and truly feel the target muscles working.

Final Thoughts

Thank you so much for reading! ❣️

Whether you’re completely new to strength training or have always felt nervous about exercising, I’d love to welcome you to Gran Gym. ✨

Taking the very first step is often the hardest part.

But by enjoying the process and progressing at your own pace, your body will gradually begin to change.

As your appearance changes, you’ll likely notice something even more important—your confidence, your energy, and the way you approach everyday life will change as well.

Let’s enjoy that journey together. 🥰
